I have been breastfeeding him for 1 year !!!!!!

Hi! everyone,

It's my turn now !!
Moses will be 1 year on coming Sunday,
afraid i may be busy on that day. SO...
I would like to announce that I have been
breastfeeding him for 1 year !!!!!!!
I am proud of this terrific job &
I do appreciate all of your supports,
especially i would like to say " Thank
you " to Tam Ma Tam, Glad, and other
experienced moms. you let me know
my breastfeeding road is not boring.

When i look back the days for the previous
one year, i cannot find a simple word to
express my feelings, i have experienced
anxiety , frustrations, helpless, but later
it turns to be happiness, enjoyment..
but when seeing his peaceful, enjoyable face
when feeding, all the tiredness, unhappiness have
run away! remember when i find helpless,
i always got the support here and
the breastfeeding hotlines, which give me
strong incentive to help others new moms.

So i hope all of us can enjoy the breastfeeding life with our honeys, and led them in a secured, comfortable, happy baby life, with the positive and
healthy development.

在這討論區出現的寶寶都是幸福的孩子，因為他們都有一個願意堅持的媽咪。
我常常到公司附近的百佳買飯，那兒一個負責賣飯的女職員前天放完產假上班，她順產生了個六磅多重的女兒，我問她有沒有餵人奶，她說因為要上班，所以餵奶粉。我告訴我也上班，但餵到兒子兩歲多。她的回答是：「冇所謂啦，現在的奶粉也一樣好！」

yes, you are correct.
Before Moses' born, i didn't aware the importance of
breastfeeding, besides its benefit to baby's & mother's
health, it also helps discipline. When we have developed
a good relationship and have earlier bonding with baby,
our communication with them are better, no need to
punish them by hitting, spanking, sometimes if only we
talk with them, it works.

also, i wonder HK is a so called " well-developed " and
"advanced" city, however, the knowledge and acceptance to
breastfeeding is so weak. On one hand, recycle is well
promoting here but Hong Kong people forget that they
are wasting a lot of water, plastic, bottles, electricity
for formular.

Base on the recent statistic,
mothers breastfeed their babies from newborn to 6 months
only shared 12% in HK, while in Norway, Sweeden, it is
100%. one of the reason is that the women there do not
need to work & they enjoy over 1 year maternity leaves,
but the supports of the hospitals and Government are
very strong, which i hope Hong Kong can copy them
in future, so for our responsibility, not only do
we breastfeed our babies, but also we have to educate
our babies that breastfeeding is very good when they
grow up, so that our grandsons & granddaughter can
enjoy mother's milk.

餵奶粉的媽媽真是一個大損失, 當bb到了大概6個月大, 他們都會自行拿奶瓶, 所以不用媽媽抱著餵, 少了和bb親親的機會。

今早看見小玫瑰自己一個人挨著sofa, 企係度玩, 真是百般滋味在心頭。她需要我的時候開始減少了, 慶幸她是母乳bb, 要吃時還會自行爬到我身上。

自從bb六個月開始吃固體食物而少吃了人奶, 我就有點失落,但諗深一層, 這是bb的正常生長程序, 應該開心至啱.
