你不如打去immigration問下有無reference number啦!
我12月20日先入immigration的... 我都希望可以快d有reference number呀!

Then my case is even worse than you. I signed the contract on 10 Nov but still haven't got the passport yet. >_< You can have a rough estimation when your maid will come as HK immigration promises to release the visa in 6 weeks. But for me, I can't see the future as you never know what's going on at indo side.

what is the reason it takes so long to do the passport? Is it better to choose another maid instead of keep waiting?

我個 agent 10/11 入application. (因為我簽漏左個名, 佢約我係 immd tower 度簽番, 所以肯定果日入表), 跟著 around 19/11 收到 reference no. (封信個 date 係 19/11, 可能 20/11 到我屋企信箱, 呢個唔太肯定...)

我個case完全同你一樣, 我12 Nov簽約, 但原來工人的passport有效期唔夠2年, 所以佢要喺當地再renew個passport, 足足要等到13 Dec先攞到passport, 我剛剛問過agent, 佢話文件喺 20 Dec入咗領事館(都唔知點解咁耐), 要下星期先取再攞去入境處, 到時重要等6 weeks, 我都唔知點算

agent not hurry but we as an employer always want to have the maid asap. next time if I hire maid, i would ask if the maid has passport ready to process the application.

前天打比入境處,昨天reply工人visa可以1月3 or4日批到...~~
