St. Paul's Church is great. Congratulations!

My son is a small bb. Not sure if he can get into good school.

Does your son currently join other playgroup?

My son is also small B (nov 07) ... it really doesn't matter if your B is small or big, it all depends on his reactions to the teacher's questions at the interview.

Yes, my son is attending a few playgroups at the mom, mon/wed at kinderU, tue/fri/sat at wisely, sun at congruent development and noddy ... our schedule is very tight, haha

hi~ my son (feb 07) also got accepted to SPC afternoon class.. are you sending him there next year? or are you still waiting for other results? we are still waiting from victoria (SH campus). I don't know much about SPC, just read good comments from BK. The only concern I have about SPC is that the majority of students are boys. Coz my younger one is a girl, I have to plan for her also. Any comments you can share about SPC or Victoria?

My son's development is pretty slow compared to babies of same age. Perhaps we need to give him more time...

coolche - wow, your schedule is real tight. Once you start Rightmind, would you still be joining so many playgroup?

wabbit - I heard people got into SPC in order to get higher chance for entry to St Paul Co-Ed. I saw some kids in the playroom (clubhouse) coming from Victoria. They appear to be very confident in speaking English.

EvaKim, why would you say your son's development is slow? have you taken him to some formal test to evaluate his progress? The Congruent Development playgroup that my son is going is very good at training motor skills, a number of problem kids are taking their courses too.

Think once my son has started PN from mon-fri, i will only send him to playgroups on sat/sun. Glad to tell you that my son loves going to school and i can see his progress and development throughout the year since he started going to playgroup at 1yr old.

wabbit, I also heard from many sources that SPC is a good school, teachers are nice, mission is clear, teaching methods suit kids best, etc. Also, chances for entrance to St Paul Co-Ed are high too. SPC is the best (i think) amongst others we applied for as well as those that we got offers from (kau yan, truelight, wisely, etc), still waiting for result from Victoria. We went to Victoria for interview last sat, don' t think it is as impressive as I have thought before. Rightmind is better comparatively, in my opinion. I will see if Rightmind suits my son for PN, then decide if I will continue sending him for K1 next year.

coolche - My son just recently learnt how to wave "byebye". I didn't take him to any assessment centre, but based on the experience at "幼潛", it appears that he couldn't do quite a number of simple tasks while other babies can. I think he needs a lot of fine motor training (fingers, hands, etc.).

Is the Congruent Development Playgroup good? Can you PN me the details? My son is attending the Woodland Treehouse Wriggers playgroup now.

Seems Congruent Development Playgroup only accepts babies > 20 month old. If then, my son won't be able to join now.

hi coolche,
thanks for your comments. yes, i've heard SPC is a great school for discipline.. all there students are very good in manners. i'm just a bit worry it will be too strict for my son, as he is very active and outgoing. That's the reason why I'd like Victoria (although, not the one downstairs). I think SKH has a much higher chances of getting into st. paul's co-ed and a lot of boys from SPC would get into st. paul college's primary school..
aaah, maybe i'm just thinking too much and too far in advance

sorry all for my late reply, i haven't logged on to BK for a while.

Evakim, just PM you the Congruent Dev details, please take a look. They do have classes for 12-18 mths babies and have various tools and toys for fine motor skills training.

wabbit, I agreee that SKH may have a higher chance of getting into st. paul's co-ed but considering the mt. butler campus, its a bit far for us, and we have already gotten offer from SPC, so will not apply for SKH.

hi viviantmy,

how old is your little boy?
yes, i have the same concern about SPC.. the construction of SKH.. also, i don't really like the fact that they don't have permanent classrooms.. seems like they always move around with those sliding walls.. i remember being as a kid, i always like the same things in the same places (sort of like a sense of belonging).. i don't feel comfortable walking into school seeing my classrooms / chairs/ desk being all gone..

are you considering other KGs? we have just received the acceptance letter from Victoria (SH).. i'm still thinking rather to send my son to SPC or Victoria.. i'm a bit worry about the distance being so far to south horizon..

my son is now studying in Rightmind for PN, if it works well at Rightmind, think I may send him to both Rightmind and SPC for K1 ... sounds crazy, am I?
