Dear all bf moms,
Is it too many times?

How to reduce to 5 or 6?

How many meals do your bbs have when they are 2 mths old?

I have been solely breastfeeding my bb since he came home from hospital.

我係全埋身的人奶媽, 我講吓我阿b的情況吧! 他兩個月大時平均一天吃8餐, 大約2.5 -3小時就吃一餐. 到3個月左右, 才平均一天吃6餐, 有時要吃7餐. bb大大吓就會自自然每3-4個小時吃一餐的了, 我沒有刻意為他減餐. 如果你唔介意一日餵7餐, 我想你不要太擔心的. 努力!

my baby has over 7 meals a day ar..2 or 3 hours per meal...we are really difficult to adjust that..so should be adjust by themself la

My son is 5 months old now and I've exclusively breastfed him since day 1. When he was 2 months old, he had 7-8 feeds a day. He changed to 6 meals a day when he was just a bit over 3 months. He gave me the clue to change by feeding for very short time only during each feed, so I figured out he was not hungry and changed him from 3 hours to 3.5 hours (then 4 hours). Now he has 5 meals a day only as he started sleeping through the night about 2 weeks ago.

我隻臭b都係2個月,
平均2-3個鐘食一餐
一日有時唔止8餐
佢有時懶食得一陣,
試過個幾鐘就要食:tongue:
超級困身, 攪到我邊度都去唔到
宜家仲放緊假就冇問題
我驚遲d返工,
工人就會好唔得閒,
唯有希望佢儘量食多d
可以隔耐d先食

When you make him 3.5 hours or 4 hours, how long do you nurse each time? As long as before?

I have been nursing 30 min & 1 breast each time.

如果30分鐘都係不停飲就應該好飽好夠, 我記得小b2個月大時都係3個鐘一餐, 直到3個多月先4個鐘一餐, 同skip mid-night feeding.

Hello Rarama,

My BB feeding time varies a fair bit. I always feed him both sides. Sometimes it's 5 mins each side, but other times it could be 20 mins each side. I think it depends if he's hungry or not, also whether he's sleepy. I find that when he's tired, he closes his eyes and sucks for longer because he pauses in between.
