This morning Ma'am asked you help ironing a suit jacket, and repeated many times that you should turn on the low temperature and iron very very carefully. But the fabric is still severely damaged, burned, and become shinny, while the wrinkles remain.
Since you started working here, many things has been damaged. Some cashmere sweaters are washed shrunken and thrown away. Dark colour shirts, jeans, and pants all ironed so hard that the fabric is turning white and shinny. Ma'am has reminded you many times to use lower temperature and iron from the inner side carefully, but the situation does not change. The value of damaged items should add up to $20,000 at least up until now.
We understand that the work of a domestic helper is not a challenging one, and you may feel bored and think of other matters from time to time so that you always omit instructions. You must understand it is not a must for us two to hire a helper, and Ma'am can certainly finish all housework herself. In the past two weeks, we realise that sometimes the furniture is not cleaned for a whole week, sometimes the inner wears washed together with others and colours mix, and sometimes cooking wares remains greasy... If the basic housework is not even completed, how do you spend your time during the day when we are not at home? We really appreciate your help, but it all depends on the fact that all tasks have to be done perfectly.
As you agreed on your payday last month, a fine will be given for damaging items in the future. It is not realistic to charge you $5000 for the suit, but you should at least be responsible for sending it for care at the dry cleaning store (given that if the jacket can be recovered is unknown, most likely not). Such spending of ___________HKD will be applied on your salary on your next payday, April 21, 2019.
