我回流香港13年，將來有打算回去加拿大，小朋友已拿citizen card, 想問下如果想申請老公入藉，是否回加拿大前一年申請配偶移民，定而家可以幫他做手續? 謝謝

If their regulation remain unchanged, you may apply to sponsor your spouse in Hong Kong one year b4 your move.

Case processing time is vary, it took us only 6mths time (mar 2014- sept 2014) to obtain the PR approval. Fyi

但係我剛在cic睇，見到好似話non resident 唔可以sponsor 人嘅，唔知係咪我理解錯，請指教

Non-resident means from tax perspective. From CIC perspective, all citizens are resident.

I am tax non-resident and applied my spouse and already proved I could be a sponsor. Just waiting the PR now. Once approved, I will move back with him.

As a followup question, sponsor to be PR means that your spouse will need to stay in Canada for certain years before he/she can apply for citizenship, right? Thanks.

When the pr approved, sponsor needs to show the intention to be back to canada to stay. However, for applying citizenship, I didn't see need to provide evidence has been stayed for a few years
