My son is 5 years old who has developed mild to serious eczema on his wrists and hands a few years ago. I tried ways to cure its eczema for years but it seems that nothing works well. In the past 2 months, my friend suggested me to read a book about "Juice" (written by a Taiwanese professor ). I then tried to give him the juice I made.
The redness on his wrist and hands is fading . His skin is still dry but not red.

Here is the fruit/veggies I put in the blender:
Beet (1 small); carrot (1 small); green apple (1); spinach (a handful); a few Romaine lettuce or kale
These are the must-put veggies. Then, pour 2-3 cups of water into the blender and liquefy it.

You may store the juice in an air-tight container and put in the fridge for 24 hours. Sometimes, I will also put some grapes, blueberries or any kind of fruits which makes the juice taste better. Before giving to my son, I will add 2-3 teaspoons of wheat grass juice to mix with the fruit juice.
I buy the frozen wheat grass juice in healthy store. I defrost the wheat grass juice and add into the fruit juice.
I give my son 2-3 cups (5-6 oz. each cup) a day.

Other than the juice, I also give him vitamin C, B complex, enzymes and probiotic (vegetarian type) each day. He has taken these vitamins for a while before having the juice. So I strongly feel that the juice makes his skin improve.
As far as I know,
eczema skin is usually acidic. Fruits and veggies are usually alkaline. That may be the reason why the fruit/veggie juice works well on my son's skin. Also, he is a meat lover.

Please let me know your result if you give it a try. (Sorry, I do not know how to type this passage in Chinese.)

more additional information

If you feel the juice is too cold from the fridge, I usually add a very little bit hot water to mix with the juice. After storing in the fridge, the juice will become thicker. Mix with water will make it easier to drink. Also, my friend said that she uses Vitamix to make juice which tastes better than from blender.

Is 'beet' beetroot? I have given my son veggie juice for awhile now. Not consistently everyday (i am too busy some days), but often enough. APart from that, he gets probiotic and fish oil. He's nearly 2.5 year old. Ezcema that persisted from 2 month old is gone. However I'm not sure if that's bcos of the juice or if he's just outgrowing ezcema naturally. ANyway, there is only benefits and no harm trying even if it doesnt cure ezcema. I completely agree with the acidic/alkaline theory and actually thinks kids (and adults) nowadays eat too little vegies!

OH ok, I have been using beetroot too. IT is a very good vegie (lots of folate). I use all vegies mentioned by everydaymom except spinach, plus parsley, bok choy, capsicum, cucumber, zucchini, ginger(in winter) , tomatoes, celery etc. I give him only about 100ml a day (did not dilute with water) and will drink straightaway.
My son used to not mind drinking it before he was little. But now he seems to know he has the right to refuse it so i add some apples to make it a full cup. He seems ok with it. If your child doesnt like it at first, dont put much green vegies and herbs in it. Start with little and increase every week.
I was also told not to add other fruits other than apple to the vegie juice.
With probiotics, I think it works for some people and not for the others, just like everything else. It's supposed to help with allergies so if your child's ezcema not related to allergies i guess it wouldnt help much. But I dont mind giving my son all these because he seems to be a very healthy fellow, only sick 2-3 times a year and only for 2-3 days everytime (without antibiotics, only panadols and lotsa sleeps).

Wheat grass is very important

Before trying to add wheat grass juice, my son has started to drink this veggie juice (beet+carrot+apple+spinach) for a month. But after adding wheat grass juice into the veggie juice, his skin shows great improvement. So I think wheat grass is also the important ingredient.

No, I use a vegetable juicer that separates the fibers and the juice. The vitamins and enzymes are in the juice, others are just fibers that he can get from normal diet. That's why it's important to drink as soon as possible after you juiced it, as oxidization process might damage enzymes in the juice. As everydaymom said, I was told youcan keep the juice up to 24 hours in the fridge. As I'm a full-time mum, I just juice everytime we drink. The juiceis very good for adults too, but people with diabetes shouldnt have vegetable juice that have carrot/beetroot etcin it because of the high sugar contents.

wheat grass juice

I have bought the organic frozen wheat grass juice in health store. It's in a package which contains 20 portions of 0.6 oz. wheat grass. I put the whole package in the freezer and take one portion out in the fridge each day to let it defrost. I give 2-3 cups (4-6 oz) of veggie juice to my son so I divide the 0.6 oz. of wheat grass into each cup. I also drink the veggie juice + wheat grass juice. Indeed, the taste is not very bad. I have one patch of eczema skin on my legs. After drinking the juice for 2 months, I feel less itchy and the skin becomes less rough on that area. Sometimes, I add blueberries, watermelon or other fruits into the blender. Also, I try to use organic fruit/veggie if possible.

Since you cannot make wheat grass juice by regular juicer, the least expensive one to make wheat grass juice costs about C$200 (in Canada). That's why I buy the frozen wheat grass juice.

I make the veggie juice by blender (not juicer). Therefore, my son take all the fiber and juice together. If you use blender, please remember to pour 2 cups of water into the blender . Otherwise, it will be too thick and hard to blend it.

time to drink the veggie juice

Sorry, I forgot to answer the above question. I usually give the juice to son before meal, like 10 minutes before lunch, in the afternoon before snack time, before bedtime, etc. People said that it's better for absorption with empty stomach.
