Omega-6 (instead of Omega-3) is also good for eczema (濕疹). one of the sources for omega-6 is from evening primrose oil. however, pure fish oil contains omega-3 only.
but i'll only consider those fish oils that list out what kind of fish they use. i.e. SmartFish uses Trouts (鱒魚) , Eye-q uses tuna and sardines, some others use salmon, and most fish liver oils use cod fish, etc.
of course, if the kid is allergic to fish or s/he got allergy after taken the fish oil, s/he shouldn't consider this option.
thanks for yr info, but i still can't find out where my mom can get it in HK. i guess it must be pretty new in HK.
has eye-q been around in UK for quite some time?
so, yr son's been taking eye-q for abt 2 yrs now?
did he take a much higher dose in the first 12 weeks?
i can only find Coromega fish oil available in US, but i hv no confidence in that coz it doesn't even say what kind of fish they use.
i doubted if we should keep giving the kid fish oil on a daily basis when the eczema problem is gone (since the kid doesn't have any concentration problems, etc.).
by the way, i agree that my son's eczema problem was gone when he's in HK (twice, abt a month each time).
Coromega is the only fish oil i can find in the US, but i don't know anybody taking it and it's uncommon for us to take fish oil or cod-liver oil here in the US.
is yr daughter taking the regualr Coromega or Coromega Child (coromegakids.com)?
why is she taking it? also becoz of eczema (濕疹)? if so, does it help?
when did she start taking it? and for how long?
