Your methode is the best, I think. I wish the web master should create one good area in each member's account to store some ideal messages for the future reference!
Might be allowed to search in the browser with each member's name follow/Number of pages from 1 to N page etc....

Sometimes, I want to keep some important information of posted message too, but it is usually uncontrollable by myself. Is that possible to check a certain member's name and look at it's page number xxx?
Really I want the owner/master of BBK would consider this function to help some members.
