that is not true, 細con ..
Embassy does not want to see any children there, because it is a very quiet place.
They will not kick you out if you carry a baby, but from your letter which sent from immigration office, did recommend "you do not need to bring children to embassy for interview".

等我都霸個位先!
我同姑奶講見領事個日唔使帶囝囝去啦(未夠3歲),
佢話佢周圍D朋友就算係手抱BB都有帶埋去,連手指模都要打.
If you return to US within 1 year, you do not need to apply for I-131 re-entry permit.
remember to bring your greencard with you when you travel, if you lost your greencard outside US, please go to the nearest embassy and police office to report it.
You can go back to HK and visit your father. as you are resident in US.
next time, got the tape or a sticker to cover the sensor, Amanda was afraid of it when she was about 5 years old, because she did not sit steady during HER PERFORMANCE.. haha...
so I covered the sensor and remove it when she's done.
Told her that I am beside her (I was physically inside the restroom with her). so she still more secure.
I also have her to pee before we leave home every time, I have a small garbage bucket inside my car, and many 1 gallon size ziplock bags, just in case if she needed it. Well, now she is 7 and out growth of it.
Once, they understand the toilet bowl won't suck them away, and when their body growth bigger, that will not be a issue anymore.
poon,
for my understanding, the HKD$800 for embassy fee will be the last one. so once you get your visa, you do not need to pay anything else.. except.. your AIR TICKET.. hee hee
